A court has heard how ‘Orange is the New Black’ actress Taryn Manning allegedly got involved in a savage fight with make-up artist Holly Hartman at her New York apartment in November.

The 37 year old actress is said to have headbutted Hartman, sprayed Windex in her eyes and grabbed her in a headlock, in an incident that allegedly took place two months ago, according to a report by TMZ.

Hartman filed a restraining order against Manning after the incident, which a New York judge declined to grant on Friday (January 29th) on the grounds that she had filed it in Los Angeles, despite the incident taking place in New York.

In her restraining order, Hartman additionally claims that Manning, who plays Tiffany Doggett in the Netflix only comedy-drama, dared her to stab her, yelling: “Pick a knife. I'm wearing a white shirt there will be a lot of blood. You will be famous for killing Taryn Manning.”

“The court has already denied the request by Ms. Hartman for a temporary restraining order. The application for the order is suspect because Ms. Manning has had no contact with Ms. Hartman in many months due to Ms. Hartman's actions against Ms. Manning which are currently under criminal investigation in multiple jurisdictions,” Manning's legal team said in a statement.

“These investigations have long predated these entirely fabricated allegations. Ms. Hartman is under investigation for stalking Ms. Manning and for theft and other crimes. It is clear that Ms. Hartman's camp has leaked these allegations which were not available publicly to elevate her own position and obscure her own wrong doing.”

It’s not the first time that Hartman and Manning have met in a courtroom. In October 2012, Manning was arrested after a string of violent claims made by Hartman, including that she kicked and choked the make-up artist. Manning was ordered to a day’s worth of community service after she accepted a plea bargain.
