Katy Perry has spoken about putting her old feud with fellow music star Calvin Harris to rest, after the two of them collaborated on the track ‘Feels’ earlier this year.

32 year old Perry, the host of the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards, spoke about her various “falling outs” with Scottish producer Harris from about eight years ago when she had been beefing with his now-ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

“We’d had little falling outs here and there. We’d had some public Twitter spats… Eight years or so had passed. It was time to put all that behind us,” she told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show on Wednesday (August 23rd).

Following her mysterious social media blackout that triggered mounting speculation, Taylor Swift has indeed confirmed the news her legions have fans have been waiting for – her new album, titled Reputation, will be released later this year on November 10th.

The 27 year old singer revealed via her Instagram account on Wednesday (August 23rd) that her sixth studio record will be released in a matter of months. Even better, the album’s first single will be released tomorrow evening (Thursday 24th), although the title of the song is not yet confirmed.

Taylor Swift has delivered on her promise to donate money to help sexual assault survivors in the wake of the groping court case she won earlier this week, making what is described as a “generous” donation to Mariska Hargitay’s Joyful Heart Foundation.

The 27 year old pop megastar contributed an undisclosed amount of financial aid to the foundation, set up in 2004 by Mariska Hargitay, a ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ actress and a close friend of Swift’s.

“Taylor is aware of the Joyful Heart Foundation and follows our work,” Joyful Heart Foundation’s CEO Maile M. Zambuto told The Huffington Post on Thursday (August 17th). “Her team got in touch with me and we talked a lot about her commitment, all along throughout this ordeal, to wanting to be of service to survivors.”

Calvin Harris has been confirmed to perform at Rihanna's third Diamnond Ball alongside Kendrick Lamar.

The superstar DJ - who collaborated with the Bejan beauty on hits 'This Is What You Came For' and 'We Found Love' - has signed up to the charity fundraiser taking place at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on September 14 in aid of the Clara Lionel Foundation.

Rihanna said in a statement: ''I'm ecstatic to add my longtime collaborator and friend Calvin Harris to the stellar line-up at this year's Diamond Ball. Calvin's music will bring the perfect mix of energy and excitement to the evening as we celebrate the Clara Lionel Foundation.''

Taylor Swift has been widely praised for her testimony in court this week concerning allegations of sexual assault, with celebrities and publications noting how she dealt with being put on the stand in the civil trial in the court battle with ex-DJ David Mueller.

The 27 year old pop star launched a counter-suit in late 2015 after former country music DJ David Mueller sued her for claiming she fabricated allegations that he groped her backside during a photo op in 2013, which he says caused him to lose his $150k-per-year job at Denver-based KYGO-FM.

Testifying on Thursday (August 10th), Swift gave no grounds to Mueller’s lawyers whatsoever, according to reports from Billboard and multiple outlets.

A former radio DJ who was sacked when he was accused of groping Taylor Swift before a concert has testified in court today, claiming that he may have touched the pop star’s ribs with a closed hand when he tried to jump into a photo with her, but insisted that he did not touch her backside as Swift had claimed.

27 year old Swift accuses former disc jockey David Mueller of slipping his hand up her dress as they posed at a photo op backstage at one of her concerts back in June 2013 at Denver’s Pepsi Center. Her legal representative claimed in an opening statement at a civil trial in Denver, Colorado on Tuesday (August 8th) that Mueller had “grabbed her rear end”, according to local reports.

Mr Mueller sued the singer in September 2015, calling her allegation false and that she had cost him his $150k-per-year job as a host at country music station KYGO-FM. He is seeking $3 million in damages.

Most people would have thought that Taylor Swift’s return to Spotify was done just to troll her nemesis Katy Perry, but it actually seems to have been a savvy business move as well.

A new report indicates that the 27 year old pop star has earned just under $400,000 in the space of just a fortnight since her back catalogue came back to streaming services such as Spotify, Amazon Music and Pandora two weeks ago.

Much was made of the fact that Swift made the sudden decision to end her boycott of streaming services on the eve of her rival Katy Perry releasing her new record Witness on June 9th, but Billboard now claims that the two weeks since have seen TayTay earn $285,000 (£224,000) in streaming revenue and $59,000 (£46,000) in publishing royalties.

Lorde has apologised after comparing being friends with fellow pop star Taylor Swift as like being around someone with an autoimmune disease.

The 20 year old New Zealand-born singer, who has just released her second album Melodrama, made the rather strange remark in a profile interview with The Guardian at the weekend. Quickly, she received a backlash from Swift’s fanbase who criticised her for the comments that Lorde now admits were “insensitive” – but she said that she hadn’t been addressing Swift directly.

“It's like having a friend with very specific allergies,” she had told the British newspaper in an article published on Saturday (June 17th).

The 33-year-old singer and songwriter - who is currently dating Lena Dunham - has admitted whenever he sits down to pen a anew track he will hear women play back the song in his head,.

The Bleachers frontman told the Metro newspaper: ''I grew up with only sisters and wen i write, I very much hear things in a female voice. Not to generalise but females are more honest and transparent. There's just a connection there.''

Taylor Swift has decided to end her long-standing boycott of streaming services, announcing that her back catalogue of albums will return to services such as Spotify.

Swift made the decision to pull her entire discography from streaming services back in late 2014, citing the deleterious effect she felt that the streaming model was having on the music industry. However, her reversal comes reportedly as a thank-you to her fans after her most recent album 1989 passed the 10 million sales mark.

“In celebration of 1989 selling over 10 Million Albums Worldwide and the RIAA's 100 Million Song Certification announcement, Taylor wants to thank her fans by making her entire back catalog available to all streaming services tonight at midnight,” a Taylor Swift fan Instagram page announced on Thursday night (June 8th).

Confirming what we essentially already knew, Adele’s global domination is total, with the news that her latest album 25 outsold the rest of the top five bestsellers around the world put together in 2015.

The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), a global body representing the music industry, reports that her long-awaited third album sold 17.4 million units in 2015, despite only coming out in late November. As a result, the organisation concludes that Adele has helped to reverse “two decades of almost uninterrupted decline” in the music business.

Taylor Swift is being sued for copyright infringement by a struggling musician, who claims that the superstar ripped off one of his songs for the lyrics of her mega-hit ‘Shake It Off’.

American R&B singer Jesse Braham alleges that Swift uses substantially the same 22-word phrase she uses in the chorus for her former Number 1 single ‘Shake It Off’ as he did for his 2013 song ‘Haters Gone Hate’. According to legal papers, Braham is claiming copyright infringement of the phrases “haters gone hate” and “playas gone play”, which also appear in Swift’s song.

Taylor Swift has launched a lawsuit of her own in retaliation against the Denver radio DJ who sued her, after he claimed lost his job when she falsely claimed that he had groped her.

Former radio host David Mueller opened a lawsuit in a US district court in Denver in September this year, saying that he was falsely accused by a member of Swift’s security team of grabbing the singer’s buttocks during a photo meet-and-greet session backstage at the Pepsi Center in the city on June 2nd 2013.

Canadian pop star The Weeknd has pleaded no contest to a charge of assaulting a police officer and will therefore avoid jail time, according a new report.

Back in January this year, the singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, made headline when he was alleged to have punched a police officer in the head after the cops arrived at the Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas, reacting to reports of a disturbance. The officer in question is believed to have separated Tesfaye and the person he was brawling with and dragged him into an elevator, where he then lashed out and struck the officer in the head.

Taylor Swift has pretty much taken over the world in the last 12 months, with the enormous success of her current album 1989, which has sold 8.6 million copies around the world since it was released in November last year. However, she’s revealed that she’ll be taking a hard-earned break from music when her world tour finishes in December.

25 year old Swift has been on the road pretty much constantly since May, when the guest star-studded '1989 World Tour' kicked off with a brace of shows in Tokyo. She’s apparently worried that spending so long in the public eye might cause people to get tired of her.

“I think I should take some time off,” she confessed in a new interview. “People might need a break from me. I'm going to hang out with friends. Write new music. Maybe not write new music. I don't know,” she said.

Pop megastar Ed Sheeran and TV star Ruby Rose have been unveiled as the co-hosts for this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards in Milan.

Both stars have revealed their excitement at being selected to host the event together, which is being held at the Mediolanum Forum in the northern Italian city on October 25th.

Taylor Swift has donated $50,000 to an online fund to help the baby nephew of one of her back-up dancers, who is ill with cancer.

On Wednesday (September 30th), 25 year old Swift made the sizeable donation on GoFundMe page set up by 13 month old Ayden’s family just the day before, which had a funding target of $20,000 at the outset. With the singer’s help, it’s already raised $53,000 in 24 hours.

“Baby Ayden, I'm lucky enough to perform with your uncle Toshi on tour. All of us are praying for you and your mama and sending so much love your way. Love, Taylor,” she wrote on the page.

Alba, the 34-year-old actor best known for her roles in Dark Angel and Sin City, was attending the opening night fashion show of New York Fashion Week on Monday (14th September) when the incident occurred. Just a fortnight after trouncing the opposition at the VMAs, Taylor Swift looks set for another strong performance at MTV’s Europe Music Awards. She’s up for a record-breaking total of nine trophies in the EMA nominations, which were announced on Tuesday (September 15th) via MTV’s Snapchat Discover channel.

‘Bad Blood’, the fourth single from 1989 which also features Kendrick Lamar, is the centre of attention, nominated in three categories (Best Song, Best Video and the newly-created prize for Best Collaboration). Furthermore, Swift was nominated in every possible category that she could have been – Best Pop Act, Best Live Act, Best Female, Biggest Fans and Best Look.

Taylor Swift is reportedly being sued by a Colorado radio DJ who claims he was fired from his job after the singer accused him of grabbed her bottom during a meeting in 2013. According to CNN, Mueller, who goes by the name of Jackson, has filed a lawsuit against in U.S. District Court looking to ‘recuperate his lost income’.

Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez are friends again! The two reportedly fell out a while ago but have managed to get their friendship back on track. Taylor Swift has dethroned Kim Kardashian as the Queen of Instagram, with the news that the all-conquering pop star now has more followers than the selfie aficionado. Swift’s following has grown to 45.9 million people, while Kardashian’s is 45.7 million.

This figure is quite impressive when you consider that the 25 year old doesn’t actually post that many pictures. She’s only taken 689 pics (at the time of writing), whereas Kardashian has posted over 3,000 times, most of them selfies.

The African-themed video for Taylor Swift’s new single ‘Wildest Dreams’ has been denounced by some corners of the internet as being racially insensitive, portraying an “African colonial fantasy”.

The video, which was officially unveiled at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (August 30th), has already attracted more than 15 million views. It was directed by Joseph Kahn, who previously directed two of Swift’s five singles so far from 1989 – ‘Blank Space’ and ‘Bad Blood’.

West was presented the award by Taylor Swift and delivered a passionate speech touching on the idea of artistry, the merits of award shows and his possible move into politics.

Kanye West has announced that he’ll be performing his fourth album 808s & Heartbreak in its entirety during a show in Los Angeles next month.

Kanye, who’s still keeping everybody on tenterhooks regarding his seventh album Swish, will be revisiting the 2008 album during his show at the Hollywood Bowl in L.A. on September 25th. 808s & Heartbreak was characterised by AutoTune and saw him largely ditch rap in favour of R&B, and was met with a mixed reception at the time.

Miley Cyrus has been voted the worst celebrity role model for children in a new survey of British parents. A whopping 78% of parents of children under 10 say that the former ‘Hannah Montana’ star is “off the rails” and wouldn’t want their kids to idolise her.

The survey by British website vouchercloud.com asked 2,287 British parents, all of whom have at least one child under the age of 10, the question: “are there any celebrities you would hate for your children to idolise?” and were provided with a list of male and female celebrities to select from.

From June 2014 to June 2015, the Scottish EDM star made $66 million in pre-tax earnings from live performances, licensing, sales and other contracts, according to Forbes’ annual Electronic Cash Kings list.

Singer Taylor Swift is reportedly thinking of buying a £4.6 million castle in Scotland to be close to her boyfriend Calvin Harris. The ‘Bad Blood’ singer and the Scottish DJ have only been dating for the past few months but it sounds like things could be getting serious quickly.
