The pop power couple broke up at some point "last week", after dating for 15 months.
The news comes as a surprise for celebrity watchers, as the couple celebrated their one-year anniversary back in March, and with each other’s touring schedules relatively clear at the start of 2016, things only seemed to be getting more serious.
“Taylor and Adam had no big blowout fight, but the romance just was not there anymore for them,” an inside source told E! News. “Adam is the one that ended it. It was all done in a very mature fashion. Taylor is pretty upset but they are still in communication. Taylor was there for Adam with his accident and supportive.”
Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris is no longer a thing
Those looking to point at Swift’s unfairly earned reputation as being something of a man-eater should know that it was the 32 year old DJ, real name Adam Wiles, who broke things off at some point “last week”.
“Adam really liked Taylor, she was not the type of girl he ever dates and he liked that. He liked how innocent Taylor was and that she had a good caring heart. Taylor's heart was more in it then he was. He started to lose interest over the past few months, but really tried to not just break up,” the source intimated about the reasons for the split.
The news comes less than a week after Harris was taken to hospital after suffering injuries in a car accident, which caused him to cancel a number of live performances. “Adam is still recovering from the injuries sustained in the car accident last Friday," the source continued, adding that Swift had continued to be supportive of him as he gets better.
“I’m in a magical relationship right now,” Swift told Vogue’s April edition, shortly after their anniversary. At the same time, a source had said: “It’s a really healthy, happy relationship.”
26 year old Swift is in Nashville with her parents and family, who are helping her get over the split. Neither party has officially commented on the story, which was first reported by People on Wednesday evening (June 1st).
