Jaime King rejects the word ''diet''.

The 36-year-old model and actress gets angry when she hears the word and wants to ''punch'' it because it is used to describe a restriction on food that people love.

She said: ''I don't believe in the word diet because I think the word dieting comes with judgment. When I hear the word diet, I want to punch the word in the face because it tells people that you can't have something. You should be able to have things that love and nourish your body.''

The 'Hart of Dixie' star - who has two-month-old son Leo and 23-month-old son James with husband Kyle Newman - says the word has haunted her all of her life.

She said: ''I feel like I 'dieted' my whole life in some way shape or form. When I let go of it and said, 'I'm not doing this anymore', when I stopped letting go of the judgment of eating cake or cookies or having burgers, which are my favorite thing in the whole world, then I finally was at a balanced weight.''

Meanwhile, Jaime - who made pop star Taylor Swift godmother to Leo - says she didn't gain weight during her second pregnancy because she was busy looking after her eldest child.

She told People magazine: ''I was chasing [him] around for my entire pregnancy and then chasing [him] around as soon as I had the baby.''
