Taylor Swift was joined onstage by three very special guests on Monday evening, during her third of five sold out gigs at the Los Angeles' Staples Center. Comedian Ellen Degeneres, singer Alanis Morissette and the Dixie Chicks' Natalie Maines became the latest celebs to join Swift’s '1989' tour squad, which has also seen appearances from Julia Roberts and Lena Dunham.

Introducing Alanis Morissette Swift told the crowd, "She defined the music of her decade. She inspired a generation of confessional female singer-songwriters who all of a sudden felt like you could actually say these raw feelings that you had. You could actually sing about your real life, you could put detail to it, you could get really, really mad if you wanted to,” according to US Weekly.

"I think it's fair to say that so many of the female singer-songwriters of my generation, including myself, would not write the way that we do without her [Morissette] and her music. And she has written some of the most brilliant music—in particular probably inarguably the greatest breakup song of all-time,” Swift added.

Morissette then joined Swift for a rendition of her 1995 classic ‘You Outta Know’ from her breakthrough album, Jagged Little Pill. After the show Morissette wrote on twitter, ‘such a sweet celebration! thank you@taylorswift13 #1989TourLA.’

Later in the show Swift was also joined by talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres, who strutted her stuff in a sparkly jumpsuit and tutu during ‘Style’. "When @TheEllenShow walks out in a more sparkly outfit than yours and a tutu," Swift wrote on Twitter, linking to an Instagram video of DeGenres dancing on stage.

But before the night could end Swift had one more big surprise up her sleeve, when she teamed up with Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines to perform the group’s hit ‘Good Bye Earl’. ‘I used to sing Dixie Chicks songs at every talent show. Singing 'Goodbye Earl' with Natalie tonight was unbelievable,’ Swift wrote on twitter.

During her '1989' world tour Swift has brought out a host of surprise guests including Julia Roberts, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Serena Williams, the US Women’s soccer team, Cara Delevingne and Lena Dunham. The singer will play the last of her Los Angeles shows on Wednesday night, before the tour moves on to San Diego on August 29th.
