As the press speculate over Taylor Swift's alleged feud with Katy Perry after a recent comment she made regarding a new song, the 'Shake It Off' star is quick to brush off rumours that she's been fighting with bestie Selena Gomez too.

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez still firm friends

It was reported in August 2014 in various stories that Swift had spectacularly dumped her younger best friend Selena Gomez when she re-kindled her on-again off-again romance with pop bad boy Justin Bieber; a rumour that was perhaps first sparked after apparently pulling a face on seeing Gomez and Bieber kiss at the Billboard Music Awards last year. However, in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Swift has insisted the pair are still bosom buddies.

'People think they have my relationships all mapped out', she said. 'There were all these blogs, like, 'Are they feuding? Are they fighting?' Meanwhile Selena and I would be on the phone that night, laughing about it. We let them have that one.'

Even if she's not fighting with Gomez, it seems Taylor Swift still has enemies. Recently, she admitted that her new song 'Bad Blood', from upcoming album '1989' is about  a fellow female pop star. Since making the comment, it has been suggested that she could've been referring to Katy Perry, who posted a Tweet after Swift's notion came out reading 'Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing...'.

Rumours suggested Swift was resentful of Gomez's relationship with Bieber

A source has responded to Hollywood Life about the situation, saying: 'Katy's feelings aren't hurt, they are just confirmed that how she always felt about Taylor and things she heard about Taylor are true. Katy thinks it is petty and stupid of Taylor to do what she did and doesn't want to go to her level and respond more than the Tweet.'
