Taylor Swift made a needlepoint artwork for Ed Sheeran.

The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' hitmaker presented her British pal with the handcrafted work, which features their likenesses on a set of stairs bearing the words 'The Struggle is Real' and also the lyrics 'Started from the Bottom/ Now We Are Here' by Drake.

The tiny sewn replica friends each have a speechbubble, with Ed's containing the word 'lego' and Taylor's reading 'cats', while they also have a joint bubble containing music notes.

Ed - who shows off the canvas in new documentary '9 Days and Nights of Ed Sheeran' - framed the lovingly-created image and it hangs on his wall, with a Polaroid of himself and his pal also sitting in the frame.

As well as her needlecraft skills, the 23-year-old singer recently revealed the 'Love Story' hitmaker to be great in the kitchen.

He said: ''I did a session in a Phoenix hotel room then flew to LA to record it. Brought in an idea for song then we finished it. Next time I went to her house and she cooked an apple pie. She cooks really good s**t, man.''
