The Wildest Dreams singer also took her moment in the acceptance speech spotlight to thank her boyfriend DJ Calvin Harris - real name Adam Wiles - for all his help and support.
Taylor, 26, thanked her fans first of all before focusing on her boyfriend of over a year.
She said: "For the first time I had the most amazing person to come home to when the spotlight went out and when the crowds were all gone.
"So I want to thank my boyfriend Adam for that and I love you guys so much."
Scottish DJ Calvin, 32, also picked up an award for Best Dance Artist on what was a big night for the couple.
Calvin wasn’t the only one who Taylor thanked and she gave a special shout out to her family.
She said: "I know my mum, dad and brother are watching and my most vivid memory of growing up is my mum and dad telling me that I was different and unique and special.
"And I could do whatever I wanted in my life.
"So parents, tell your kids every day that they are special, they are unique, they could do whatever they want with their lives.
"Thank you for having me."
