You never tend to think of bachelors as celibate, but apparently one of them is – the bachelor, Sean Lowe.

The star of ABC’s the bachelor has revealed for People Magazine that he and fiancée Catherine have chosen not to consummate their relationship until their wedding night, because of Lowe’s beliefs as a born-again Christian. Catherine Giudici, the winner of the reality competition and Lowe’s bride-to-be is honoring his decision, though apparently she isn’t the one having difficulties with it. ‘I’m a guy,’ Lowe told the publication with a laugh. ‘If it were up to me, I’d go to the courthouse tomorrow and it would be a done deal!’ Well, he’s going to have to wait quite a bit for that, since the couple has revealed that they are planning a summer wedding. On The Bachelor: After The Final Rose, Lowe revealed that, like their courtship, the pair plan on having their nuptials televised as well: ‘I think it’s only fitting,’ Sean said. ‘Our relationship was started and created on TV, so we could solidify it there as well.’ Lowe also explained the reasons behind his unusual choice: ‘I lived life kind of selfishly for a long time, and I reached a point where I was tired of being selfish. I wanted to live my life the way I know it to be right. It’s a personal choice for me.’

Well, as long as they’re happy. In the meantime, both Lowe and Giudici have a lot to occupy their time, with the former bachelor’s pending appearance on Dancing with the Stars and, you know, planning the rest of their lives together or something.
