the bachelor stars Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici announced they will be tying the knot on TV. The couple appeared on Good Morning America yesterday (14th October) said they had set their wedding date for January 26th 2014 when their nuptials would be broadcast on ABC.

Sean Lowe
Sean Lowe proposed to Catherine Giudici on the show's season 17 finale.

29-year-old Lowe explained the reasons for having their wedding broadcast. He hoped "everything goes smoothly" on the day and that "The Bachelor is such a cool experience because people at home feel like they know us and they're invested in our relationship. We have no problem sharing the actual wedding with everyone who has been with us so far."

Giudici, 27, also discussed wedding plans, stating "I just want it to be fun and show our love. We want some traditional type of ceremony that just kind of unifies us and then have a big party afterwards."

Lowe and Giudici have been together since March of this year when Lowe proposed on the finale of season 17 of The Bachelor. Few couples from the show (as E! reported) last longer than a few months and their relationships rarely end in marriage.  Hopefully Lowe and Giudici's relationship will beat the statistics and last.

The couple will marry on an ABC special in January 2014.

There are examples of The Bachelor wedded bliss including the success of Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter who have been happily married since 2003 with two children! Lowe also seems keen to have children (although Giudici originally planned to wait until she was 30) and he announced on GMA they planned to begin their family within the next year and a half.

Incredibly the couple are not yet living together. Lowe, from Dallas, and Giudici, from Seattle, stated they were in the process of house hunting in Texas but were only planning to move in together after the wedding. It seems, according to ABC's report on the interview, the couple are yet to choose a place as they may move elsewhere and they're both leading busy lives.
