The Do's recent single, 'Slippery Slope', was available as a free digital download from August 29th, 2011. It is taken from their highly anticipated second album, 'Both Ways Open Jaws', which is set to be released on November 14th 2011, through label 'Village Green'.
The video for Slippery Slope was directed by Noel Paul from 'That Go'. Drawing on the very tribal nature of the song, we see lead singer Olivia performing a slick dance routine with backing dancers dressed all in black. There are flashes of tribal masks throughout the video as Olivia aggressively chants the lyrics.
The Do are a French/Finnish duo, comprising lead singer Olivia and talented multi-instrumentalist Dan Levy. Their debut album was released in 2008 and it immediately topped the charts in France, making the duo the first French act singing in English to achieve a Number 1 album.
The lead single from their second album, 'Too Insistent', will be released on October 31st 2011. The second single, 'Gonna Be Sick', is expected to be released on January 16th 2012.
