Rapper The Game has escaped police custody for the second time in two weeks after cops decided not to arrest the star following an investigation into a fight outside a Los Angeles nightclub.
The Let's Ride hitmaker was caught on camera scrapping with a fellow reveller outside the Colony nightclub on Monday night (22Aug11).
Footage, which allegedly showed members of The Game's entourage restraining the rapper, and the alleged victim's complaint prompted police to launch an investigation into the fracas.
But they've now announced they have no plans to arrest The Game for an alleged assault after speaking with him about the fight.
Eyewitnesses have told Tmz.com that the rapper, real name Jayceon Taylor, lashed out after his accuser spat on him.
It was the hip-hop star's second run in with officials at the Los Angeles Police Department in a week - in a tweet posted on his Twitter.com page earlier this month (Aug11) wannabe interns were asked to call a number for a job; the number given was the emergency line to Compton sheriff's station.
Hundreds of hopefuls called, jamming the phone line for over two hours.
The Game insists he didn't post the tweet and sheriff's officials later dropped their investigation into the incident after the rapper repeatedly apologised.
The star was arrested in 2007 for threatening another player in a South L.A. basketball game with a handgun. He pleaded guilty to a weapons charge and was placed on three years' probation.
