New Jersey rockers The Gaslight Anthem released brand new single '45' off their upcoming album 'Handwritten' out July 23rd 2012 on Mercury Records.
'45' premiered on BBC Radio 1 by Zane Lowe who received such amazing responses from listeners that he played it three times in one night. The single is the opening track for 'Handwritten', kicking off the record with an upbeat, classically rock sound with the husky vocals of Brian Fallon, headbanging inducing drums and catchy guitar riffs. The video is equally as grunge-esque, emphasising their tattoos and guitars, and the physicality of performing their music live.
The anthemic album was produced by Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen) in Nashville and is set to score as high as their two already critically acclaimed albums 'The '59 Sound' and 'American Slang' which reached silver in the UK. They performed a sell-out show at London's Koko in Camden Town last night; a show which sold all its tickets within 20 minutes of its announcement.
The Gaslight Anthem (which are Fallon on vocals/guitar, Alex Rosamilia on guitar, Alex Levine on bass and Benny Horowitz on drums) are also set to perform at Festival Republic's Leeds and Reading Festivals.
