The Heartbreaks' new single, Delay Delay, will be released on April 30th. It is taken from their debut album, Funtime, which will be released on May 7th, through Nusic Sounds. The band is set to embark on a UK tour in May.
The video for Delay Delay takes place in Morecambe. A young boy runs through the streets of the seaside town and eventually makes it onto the deserted beach. The Heartbreaks are also seen playing on that very same beach, even taking their instruments into the sea with them.
The Heartbreaks, who hail from the aforementioned Morecambe, are Matthew Whitehouse (vocals); Joseph Kondras (drums); Ryan Wallace (guitar) and Deaks (bass). Since the release of their last single Jealous, Don't You Know, the band has toured with Morrissey and Hurts throughout Europe. They also signed to Nusic Sounds. In addition, The Heartbreaks have played alongside acts like The Kaiser Chiefs; Kitsune; The Killers and even Bono.
They cite their influences as Elvis Costello and Morrissey. On their Facebook bio, Joseph declares that the Arctic Monkeys were the last great British band, 'And I honestly believe we're the next one.'
