Jennifer Lawrence and pop group One Direction were among the big winners at the 27th annual Kids' Choice Awards at the Galen Center at USC in Los Angeles. Selena Gomez, Robert Downey Jr and Ariana Grande were also honored at Nickelodeon's annual awards show, at which 'unslimable' host Mark Wahlberg met his match.

Lawrence scooped two of the major awards - for Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite Female Buttkicker, while The Hunger Games: Catching Fire was named Favorite Movie.

One Direction won Favorite Song for 'Story of My Life', as well as the prize for Favorite Music Group.

Grande won Favorite TV Actress for Sam & Cat, while Gomez took the Favorite Female Singer.

Pharrell Williams - who helped internet sensation Todrick Hall open the show - was one of a number of famous faces to get slimed during proceedings, while debutant David Blaine terrified the younger audience members with a slime-filled illusion in which he appeared to be decapitated. 

Elsewhere, Austin Mahone and Cody Simpson were both slimed after a live audience vote, and host Mark Wahlberg was eventually slimed at the end of the show when Kevin Hart and his children joined forces.
