The Kills have released their new single 'Future Starts Slow', from their fourth album 'Blood Pressures', which came out in April 2011 on Domino Records. Future Starts Slow is also the second single from the album, following 'Satellite'.
UK-based The Kills comprise Floridian Alison 'VV' Mosshart and British Jamie 'Hotel' Hince. They formed in 2000 after hearing each other when Alison moved to London, after hearing Jamie rehearsing in the hotel above hers in Europe some months previously, when they were both in different bands - Alison in Florida-based punk rock band Discount and Jamie in British punk-folk band Blythe Power.
Their first album, 'Keep on Your Mean Side', was released in April 2003 and ranked at number 47 in the UK Album Charts. It was later re-issued in 2009 with 5 additional bonus tracks. Their second album, 'No Wow', was released in February 2005 and peaked at number 56 in the UK; 'The Good Ones' was released as a single and reached number 23 in the UK Singles Chart. Their third album, 'Midnight Boom' came out in March 2008 and charted at number 47 in the UK.
