The Little Ones Sing Song Single

America seems to have a real knack for producing some great little indie-pop bands. Last year we had strong albums from The Spinto Band, Tilly And The Wall, And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead.(among many others) and this year tells me we just might have to find time for The Little Ones with their debut Mini-album Sing Song. The British press have already picked up on these guys and they will be embarking on an NME new music tour across the UK in May.

Despite a February release (and as you might expect from a Californian based act) this one has sunshine pop written all over it. Sweet vocal harmonies & uplifting guitar melodies combine to produce seven enjoyable & charming songs perfect for any long road trip.

With comparisons to The Spinto Band, Belle and Sebastian, The Shins & The Magic Numbers (and it doesn't stop there), Sing Song hardly scores high in the originality stakes, but that doesn't detract away the fact that this is enjoyable, fun, uplifting and well crafted. A strong debut well worth anybody's time.
