It's finally happening; the original members of The Misfits Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only, along with their longest-running guitarist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, are set to reunite for the first time since they split in 1983. This is one Riot Fest you won't want to miss out on tickets for.

MisfitsMisfits are coming back

Three of the (basically) original members of Misfits are teaming up once again for the first time in more than 30 years, hitting the main stage at Riot Fest & Rodeo in Denver and Riot Fest & Carnival in Chicago this September. The band is best known for their unique visual blend of punk and cinematic horror, and have one of the most recognisable logos in modern music - the Crimson Ghost.

2016 truly is the year everyone got back together; Guns 'n' Roses, NWA, Busted; but Misfits is arguably the most surprising one yet. They originally only lasted around six years before going their separate ways in 1983, after releasing two albums entitled 'Walk Among Us' and 'Earth A.D./Wolfs Blood'.

The band re-united in 1995, though without lead singer Glenn Danzig with whom they'd been involved in a legal dispute regarding royalties and rights. Michael Emanuel was on vocals, but Only eventually hit the mic himself. Over the years the band has seen multiple line-up changes, from Black Flag's Dez Cadena to Marky Ramone, but now they appear to have truly come full circle having seemingly put all their legal troubles behind them.

Riot Fest will take place in Denver from September 2nd to 4th 2016 and in Chicago from September 16th to 18th. The rest of the line-up will be unveiled in due course and early bird tickets are already virtually sold out. Tickets are currently priced at $149.98 but will soon rise to $169.98. VIP tickets are still available at $249.98.
