Since their shocking split earlier this year, Miss Piggy and Kermit seem to be getting along fine as friends. Of course, they have no choice really; they still have to work alongside each other on 'The Muppets'. But they've still managed to make light of their problems in a parody of Adele's 'Hello' video.

Both Muppets appear in the black and white 'Hello' snippet as part of the promotion for the upcoming season of the new series of 'The Muppets'. The skit aired at the American Music Awards, and, it has to be said, Miss Piggy's take on Adele is on point with everything from the doleful eyes to the windswept hair.

The couple, who have been together for nearly 40 years, announced the sad news that they were going their separate ways over Facebook in April. 'After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, Kermit the Frog and moi have made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship', she announced, though Kermit's own statement alleged that it was actually solely Miss Piggy's decision.

Whatever the circumstance, they at least remained friendly enough to be in the same company, appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live together in an interview that wasn't as awkward as it could've been - despite Kimmel bringing up Kermit's new girlfriend Denise.

For those who thoroughly enjoyed the original 'Hello' (so, that's everyone, right? Just checking), Adele's long-awaited third album '25' is out now and will probably find its way into many a Christmas stocking this year. 'Hello' has already broken records by becoming the first song to get more than a million sales in a week in the US, after it easily topped charts in both the UK and US.

The next episode of 'The Muppets' airs on December 1st 2015.
