Okay.what have we got here?? Anyone in the mood for some electro-indie-pop-funk that's bound to be enjoyed by the EU and Mods alike?? Well then say hello to this, The Pinker Tones 'Million Colour Revolution', this years soundtrack to the London- to Brighton commute. The sequel to their sublime debut, 'The BCN Connection', Lets have a look at what these peppy Spanish duo, Mister Furia and Professor Manso, have cooked up for us.

You don't have to listen to this album for long to see that it's a feast of rich synth tones, traditional Spanish melodies, choice cuts and deep beats. Covering pretty much all of the rhythms you're likely to find in a classic casio keyboard (Rumba, Salsa, Mambo, etc, etc.) 'MCR' is a real party album. Covering more ground than mother natures soil, the Tones span a sound with a multitude of influences, from throughout a huge spectrum of music, including The Doors, Prince, Bust Bacharach, The Rat Pack and many more diverse players in the infinite sonic banquet.okay, so its diverse.BUT, it can be abit heavy to digest. Especially over a walkman. I feel this album works better in a summery social situation, perhaps brightening up a very British barbecue, regardless of the weather.

At the end of the day, this album is fun. Like an enjoyable romp around the Med, on an 18-30 holiday that's run by people with good taste in music, who don't think that to have a good time, all you have to do is pash with some random from Birmingham. It's quite hard to define sound-a-likes.erm, how about, Quantic, Limp Twins, Hardkandy & Tru Thoughts. Anyway, enjoy it, it's hard not to!
