Former The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr is joining forces with rock legend Bryan Ferry to headline a U.K. music festival on Sunday (15Jul12).
Marr will take the stage at GuilFest in Surrey, England, for the whole of Ferry's set, which will feature tracks from both his solo career and the Roxy Music catalogue.
The musicians first met when Marr played on Ferry's 1987 release Bete Noire, and they recently reunited in the studio to work on the singer's new album, but the festival appearance will be their first full show together.
In a statement on his website, Ferry writes, "Johnny has previously performed with us on TV and at some smaller events but I am thrilled that he will be playing a full show with us for the very first time at GuilFest."
