Former The Smiths drummer Mike Joyce is to spend a night in a prison cell with fans to raise cash for charity.
The rocker will be among the 'inmates' locked up in jail in his hometown of Manchester, England to raise money for the British Red Cross.
Fans who have made a sizeable donation to the charity will be booked in and fingerprinted by a police sergeant before being led to a barred cell where they will be locked up with Joyce for several hours.
The musician says, "The event sounds like a bit of fun and it's all for a good cause so I'm very happy to help. I hope that we'll get a good turn out and raise lots of money for the British Red Cross."
The event will take place at the Manchester Police Museum on 1 December (11).
