The Walking Dead season 4 ended in high-octane fashion: Rick, Daryl, Michonne and Carl found Terminus but were soon wise to eerie feeling that surrounded it. A gun fight followed, and the subsequent dance that ensued saw the gang reunited, albeit locked up in a metal box.

Rick Grimes Walking Dead

In the photo, it looks as though Rick might be opening said metal box with a view to following through with his end-of-season words: “They’re screwing with the wrong people.” It was a solid end to a weird season, but one can’t help but thinking the whole ‘Rick’s back’ storyline has been done before, when he recovered from the loss of his wife.

Still, season 4 improved as it went on, and now we have the truly exciting prospect of the gang v terminus to get excited about. Will tat comprise the entire season? Will they exact harsh revenge in the first episode then make their way to Washington? The inclusion of Dr. Eugene Porter, Sgt. Abraham Ford and Rosita Espinosa added some fresh impetus for the plot.

Of course, exactly what the inhabitants of Terminus are up to is still unknown, but the general consensus – and one we agree with – is that they’re cannibals. We’ve seen them in both the comic books and the video game already, so it makes sense TV audiences would get a taste of human meat soon. Here’s another thing got Carl to get all screwed up by, too.

In addition to the shiny new picture of Grimes looking all angry and scornful, Robert Kirkman – the creator of the zombie universe that has found many mediums over the years – Tweeted a picture of him by a certain shipping container. Look familiar?

The Walking Dead season 5 returns to AMC this fall.
