The War on Drugs' third single, Brothers, is the latest to be taken from their critically acclaimed second studio album, Slave Ambient, which was released in August 2011, through Secretly Canadian. Brothers follows on from Baby Missiles and Come To The City. The War On Drugs will embark on a tour of the UK and Ireland.
The video for Brothers was directed by Ben and Alex Brewer. Set in a creepy looking house, we follow a scared looking young woman who creeps through the house, trying to escape her captors, who have placed bin liners on her hands and feet to hinder her progress.
The War on Drugs formed in 2003 and after several line-up changes, currently comprises: Adam Granduciel (vocals, guitars, harmonica, keyboards, samplers); Dave Hartley (bass guitar, electric guitars); Robbie Bennett (keyboards, piano, guitars) and Steven Urgo (drums, percussion, sampler). Their debut EP on Secretly Canadian, Barrel of Batteries, was given away for free in 2007. Their debut album, Wagonwheel Blues, was released a little while later, in 2008.
