The Can't Feel My Face singer was arrested for misdemeanour battery of a protected person in January (15) for striking an officer who attempted to break up a fight at the Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas.

The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, appeared at a Sin City court on Wednesday (21Oct15) and pleaded no contest. He was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service, which he is allowed to fulfil in his native Canada with a nonprofit organisation.

Tesfaye also has to undergo an anger management course, alcohol evaluation, and pay $1,000 (£625) to an injured police officer fund, according to TMZ.com.

The case will be dismissed if he completes the requirements and stays out of trouble.
