The veteran rockers appeared to suffer difficulties with their onstage monitoring system throughout their set, and guitarist Pete Townshend even apologised to the crowd, explaining the band had not had the chance to soundcheck.

Despite this, the My Generation hitmakers provided a fitting end to the festival, which had been light on rock acts following the cancellation of Foo Fighters' set on Friday (26Jun15).

Taking to the stage, Townshend told the crowd, "Here we are again! We've a very simple job to do tonight, which is to send you home happy. And maybe a bit deaf."

He and his bandmates then ran through a string of classic songs, including Who Are You, The Seeker, I Can See For Miles, and Pictures of Lily, but it soon became apparent the band was suffering some technical issues, with frontman Roger Daltrey, who was spotted fiddling with his in-ear monitors throughout the show, singing noticeably flat on Behind Blue Eyes.

Townshend also appeared to be suffering issues, particularly during a rendition of Pinball Wizard, and Daltrey even missed the start of a verse during the band's closing track, Won't Get Fooled Again, but Townshend apologised for the below-par moments.

He told the crowd, "This could have been better, but it's as good as it could be. It would have been great to have had a soundcheck and get ourselves sorted out before we came out here and hit you with all this s**t, but never mind."
