An associate of rap group Three 6 Mafia has been indicted on murder and drug charges in Memphis, Tennessee.
Craig Petties, the half-brother of producer/rapper DJ Paul Beauregard, is accused of running a major drug ring from Queretaro, Mexico, dealing hundreds of kilos of cocaine and marijuana throughout Memphis and other Southern U.S. states.
The cartel was reportedly set up in 1995 and ran until 2008.
Petties has been charge with a total of 50 counts, including drug distribution. He is also being held responsible for the murders of six people related to the drug trade.
The suspect was originally indicted in 2002 but escaped imprisonment and went into hiding, turning him into one of America's most wanted fugitives.
Petties has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is facing the death penalty if convicted.
