Fact: John Blundall, a puppeteer who created characters for beloved children's series Thunderbirds, has died, aged 77. He reportedly suffered a heart attack on Tuesday (19Aug14). Blundall's best known creation was Parker, Lady Penelope's chauffeur. He also carved characters for Stingray and Fireball Xl5 Tv shows.
Fact: A puppet from hit TV series Thunderbirds has sold at a London auction for $53,760 (£33,600) - three times its estimate. The Lady Penelope marionette was won by a bidder from New Zealand at the Bonhams auction house sale.
Fact: U.S. TV network NBC has commissioned a $26 million (GBP13 million) adaptation of classic novel ROBINSON CRUSOE. The drama series will star British actor Sean Bean and PHILIP WINCHESTER of Thunderbirds fame.
