Jonathan Bennett Really Doesn't Want A 'Mean Girls' Reunion

Jonathan Bennett Lindsay Lohan Rachel McAdams Tina Fey Amanda Seyfried Lacey Chabert Tim Meadows

It's still his most famous role, more than 10 years after Mean Girls hit cinemas and became a cult favourite, but Jonathan Bennett has zero interest in another outing as pin-up pupil Aaron Samuels. When Us Weekly asked the actor about the possibility of reuniting with Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams and the rest of the cast, the 33-year-old didn't exactly mince his words. "I don't give a f**k," he said.

Tina Fey David Letterman

Tina Fey gave David Letterman the BEST goodbye during her final appearance on the Late Show. The 30 Rock star, who rocked blue dress with black lace detailing, talked in her interview about how she would never have to wear anything nearly as fancy for any other talk show.

OK

A sparky ensemble helps make this film entertaining even if the plot is simplistic and the themes very tame for a movie that is trying so hard to be anarchic. August: Osage County this isn't! Instead, it blends warm comedy, silly slapstick and a heavy dose of sentiment to tell a story that's engaging but never remotely surprising. But the terrific cast makes it well worth a look.

It opens as Judd (Jason Bateman) sees his life go from bad to worse: he catches his wife (Abigail Spencer) in bed with his boss (Dax Shepard), then learns that his father has died. Back home for the funeral, his mother (Jane Fonda) announces that she wants Judd to sit shiva, seven days of mourning, with his three estranged siblings: frazzled housewife Wendy (Tina Fey), frustrated Paul (Corey Stoll) and party boy Phillip (Adam Driver). Everyone in this family is dealing with relationship issues, so they all get involved in each others' lives again, even though none of them likes to talk about these things (except their hilariously over-sharing mother). So as Judd and Wendy reconnect with old flames (Rose Byrne and Timothy Olyphant, respectively), Paul and Phillip have to clarify things with their partners (Kathryn Hahn and Connie Britton).

Each of the various subplots touches on a big issue, although Jonathan Tropper's script never digs too deeply, relying on superficial comedy and simplistic emotion rather than anything too provocative. This is an odd approach for a film that is essentially trying to say that life is messy. Even the funeral and grieving are used more for laughs than emotion, as are old rivalries and perceived betrayals. Much of the brawling, insulting and teasing is genuinely funny, but only because the cast members have so much fun with it all. Bateman offers his usual likeable everyman, generating terrific chemistry with Fey, Stoll and Driver, as well as some jagged wit in his scenes with the always superb Byrne. And Fonda steals the show as an unapologetic woman who says the wrong thing at just the right time.

Judd Foxman thought he had the perfect life with an enjoyable job, a pleasant apartment and a beautiful wife. However, he soon loses it all after bursting in on his boss in bed with his wife after an apparently lengthy affair. Unfortunately, things only seem to get worse when his sister phones him to tell him that their father passed away. He has to return home to his mother for the funeral where he meets the rest of his siblings and several old faces, but while most of them are hoping to make a quick exit, their mother has other ideas insisting that they spend a week at home in mourning. As awkward as it seems at first, Judd soon finds his pain to be easing with the support of his family and he soon starts to wonder if he wants a simple home life at all.

'Mean Girls' 10 Years On: Memes, Memories, And The Cult Of Mean

Tina Fey Lindsay Lohan Rachel McAdams Lacey Chabert Amanda Seyfried Lizzy Caplan Daniel Franzese

It's ten years since hit high school comedy Mean Girls was released. Yes, yes: we know it makes you feel old and all that jazz but what's more impressive than the simple passing of 3652.4 days is how a light-hearted look at the politics of high school life has become a phenomenon as popular and relevant now as it always was and will be forever.

To recap, Lindsay Lohan plays Cady Heron, a so-called "home-schooled jungle freak" who has spent her life sheltered from the regiment of mainstream school and its minefield of social rules. Cady is dropped in at the deep end when she catches the eye of the "plastics," a trio of vain and catty girls lead by Regina George (Rachel McAdams), the iron-fisted ruler of the school's in crowd.

Muppets Most Wanted Review

Good

Where the 2011 reboot felt effortless in the way it recaptured that warmly anarchic Muppets humour, this sequel feels like it's working every step of the way. Yes, it's riotously silly and occasionally hilarious, but there are large chunks of the movie that just aren't funny at all, mainly because there's so much emphasis on the tangled web of a plot that the characters get lost in the shuffle.

It starts just as the last movie ended: the Muppets decide to do a sequel based on an idea from interloper Dominic (Ricky Gervais) to take their show on a world tour. But Dominic is actually in league with super-villain frog Constantine (Matt Vogel), who has just escaped from a gulag. So when the Muppet Show lands in Berlin, he orchestrates a swap: Constantine takes Kermit's place in the show, while Kermit (Steve Whitmire) is sent to Siberia under the watchful eye of guard Nadya (Tina Fey). Meanwhile, Interpol agent Jean-Pierre (Burrell) and CIA operative Sam Eagle (Eric Jacobson) are investigating a series of robberies mysteriously linked to Muppet performances in Berlin, Madrid and Dublin.

All of this builds to a head in London, where Constantine is staging an elaborate wedding to Miss Piggy (Jacobson) to distract from his real plan to steal the Crown Jewels. But this plot-strand feels predictable and limp compared to much more interesting character interaction. For example, scenes between Kermit and Fey are a lot more fun as they plan a musical revue with the inmates (and get Trejo and Liotta sing and dance!). And the escalating banter between Sam Eagle and Burrell is hilarious even as it indulges in cheap Euro-jokes.

Muppets Most Wanted - Clip

Kermit and friends are set to go international with the help of their unfortunately named new tour manager Dominic Badguy, with hopes of selling-out major theatres in all the big cities of the world including Berlin, Madrid and London. As usual though, things are not about to run smoothly for these trouble magnets as they are forced to postpone their tour when Kermit becomes under suspicion for robbery. It's bad luck for him that there's another frog in town - the formidable Constantine, who organises a jewel heist with the knowledge that he may evade capture because of his unwitting doppelganger. Constantine tries to pretend he's Kermit amongst the other Muppets in an effort to evade detection while Kermit gets locked up, but will they realise their mistake in time to release their real friend and finish their tour?
