Tina, speaking to People, explained how Blue had bluntly asked why Tina and Lawson were not married whilst on a family outing in September 2014.

"We went on a boat with Beyoncé and Jay Z for her birthday, and when we came out one night dressed to go to dinner, Blue said, 'Oh, ya'll look beautiful. When are ya'll getting married?'" Tina explained.

"Richard said, 'Oh, Blue, soon. Do you approve?' And she said yes," Tina added. "That's the first time we talked seriously about getting married."

Tina and Lawson had known each other for more than 30 years but began dating in 2013 after Tina's divorce from her husband, Matthew Knowles, was finalised. They tied the knot on April 12th on a yacht in Newport Beach, California. Tina described the ceremony and celebrations as "perfect".

In other Beyoncé related news, she and Jay Z may well be releasing a new album together. As AV Club reports, Jay Z's streaming service is not as successful as the glitzy launch party initially promised and the couple's album is likely to be in support of Jay Z's latest venture which relies on promising exclusive content and celebrity promotion.
