Record Producer, Bach, is 16 years younger than the singer. It is the second marriage for Turner, she was married to her stage partner Ike Turner for 14 years before they divorced in 1976.

Turner and Bach have lived in Switzerland since 1994, when they moved for Bach's business. Turner became a Swiss citizen in April of this year. The marriage took place, in traditional Swiss fashion, at the Kusnacht municipal offices. The ceremony was a civil ceremony and private celebrations are expected in the next few days.

Hannes Friess, a municipal official, confirmed the marriage and added the wedding reception would take place on Sunday 21st July. However, he was unable to provide further details stating "we do not have any information about names of number of guests".

The couple spend most of their time in Switzerland (Turner has houses around the world) and reside in Kusnacht, the private celebrations are expected to take place here. According to reports, in the AFP, another ceremony will take place in the Buddhist tradition (as Turner is a practising Buddhist).

The same reports suggest David Bowie, Eros Ramzzotti, Sade and Oprah Winfrey will be attending the celebrations.
