Tom Arnold and his wife are expecting their second child.

The 'Sin City Saints' actor - who married spouse Ashley in 2009 - announced the couple will be welcoming a baby girl into the world later this year by revealing his two-year-old son Jax is both ''excited'' and ''a bit confused'' by the news.

He posted a picture of the little boy holding an ultrasound picture on twitter and wrote: ''Jax is very excited, but also a bit confused with the happy news he will have a little sister this fall #grateful (sic)''

The 56-year-old actor - who has been married three times before, including to comic Rosanne Barr - has previously been open about his struggles to father a child because of his low sperm count.

He previously said: ''One day at the hospital I saw a sign asking for sperm donors and it paid $35. I was psyched because, unlike blood, I believed I could donate this stuff three times a day.

''Fortunately, they give you a test first and the doctor informed me that I didn't have many 'swimmers.' ''

However, despite his problems, the 'True Lies' star believes having Jax was fate.

Announcing Ashley's pregnancy in 2013, he said: ''I've tried with other people, but since there is a God we were unable to conceive. Now God said, 'This is it!' ''
