Tom Hanks, Jerry Seinfeld and Lena Dunham are among the slew of names nominated for this year’s Webby awards, which will be taking place on May 21st in New York City.

The Annual Webby Awards, where winners deliver five-word speeches in the spirit of internet brevity, has been going for 17 years and will be broadcast the next day on the awards' website. The host and venue will be announced April 16th. Hanks is nominated for the category of Online Film & Video: Drama, for his Electric City series on Yahoo. He’s currently starring in Broadway of course, in Nora Ephron’s Lucky Guy. Jerry Seinfeld meanwhile is up for Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, while Dunham is up for a nod in two different categories: Best Individual Performance In An Online Film & Video and the Social Content & Marketing category. Other nominees of note include Charlize Theron for Funny or Die's Charlize Theron Gets Hacked, Lady Gaga (Gaga's Workshop); Conan O'Brien for his Clueless Gamer and Serious Jibber Jabber segments as well as for his talk show's website Team Coco Digital; and Justin Bieber in the Interactive Advertising & Media category for the launch of his Girlfriend fragrance. In a statement, Webbys executive director David-Michel Davies said "Every year we are constantly amazed by the innovations Webby Nominees push forward and this year is no exception.”
