Tom Hiddleston has said he’s still friends with Taylor Swift, despite the couple recently ending their three-month romance. The actor flew solo on the Emmy Awards’ red carpet on Sunday night, but he wasn't able to dodge a question about his high-profile split with the singer.

When asked if he and Taylor were still friends by People magazine Tom simply said: "Yes. Yes, we are.” The end of the Hiddleswift romance came earlier this month, with one of the reported reasons being that Tom had asked Taylor to accompany him to Sunday night’s awards.

Taylor has never walked a red carpet with a boyfriend before and was said to have refused Tom’s Emmy invite. “Tom wants their relationship to be public, even asking Taylor to go to the Emmys with him, but Taylor wants to keep her private life private,” an insider told The Sun at the time.

But Tom didn't seem to be letting his break-up get him down on Sunday night. At the ceremony he was nominated in for Outstanding Lead Actor in Limited Series or Movie category for ‘The Night Manager’ and he presented the Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series, Movie, or Dramatic Special award with actress Priyanka Chopra.

According to E! News, Tom and Priyanka were "openly flirting with each other” at the awards after-party, in between taking selfies and mingling with guests. "Tom had his arm around her and held her close,” an insider said.

“Afterwards, Tom and Priyanka talked closely and were holding hands at one point for a few moments. Priyanka fixed Tom's bow-tie and then the two kissed on both cheeks.” The pair are also said to have exchanged phone numbers before embracing in a "long hug" and "several kisses on the cheek.”

In an interview with In Style magazine last month Priyanka, who is known for her role in 'Quantico', said of her love-life: "I've never dated. I’ve always been in relationships. You like someone, you court each other, you get into a relationship. You're answerable to each other."
