The legendary crooner was one of the original judges on the U.K. version of the show when it launched in 2012.

He sat on the panel for four series, but was axed in August (15) as part of a line-up reshuffle.

After hearing he had been dropped, Tom voiced his disappointment and won an apology from BBC bosses.

However, he has now revealed he was livid when he heard the news and declared BBC bosses "can go f**k themselves".

"I said, 'I don't give a f***k.' I enjoyed it, but if they don't want me any more, they can go f**k themselves'," he tells Britain's The Sunday Times Magazine.

The Welsh star has also taken aim at the broadcaster in his new autobiography, writing, "What a cold place the BBC is. Sometimes you wonder whether it's run by humans or a machine in a basement."

At the time of his firing, Tom blamed "sub-standard executives" for failing to consult him on his removal from the show.

Tom has been replaced by Culture Club singer Boy George for the upcoming fifth season, which is due to air in January (16) with returning judges will.i.am and Kaiser Chiefs rocker Ricky Wilson.

Singer Paloma Faith has also been recruited for the next series, and has revealed she consoled gutted Tom, 75, after his unexpected exit.

"I spoke to him about it and he was very upset about the way they handled his exit, she said. "That was sad for him, but I'm sure Tom Jones has got a lot of other things he can be doing because he is a national treasure and a legend. I don't think he will lose too much sleep over it."
