Tom Jones Almost Opened A Hotel With Elvis Presley And Frank Sinatra.
The Welshman has revealed Sinatra approached him about launching a major new venue, called Tiger Bay, in Sin City.
He tells BANG Showbiz, "Frank Sinatra asked me if I would be interested in building a hotel with him in Las Vegas. He said to me, 'Let's do it and then we can control them rather than them controlling us'."
"It came pretty close," Jones explains. "Frank and myself and Elvis Presley and some other people who were big names at the time we're going to do it. We almost got to it but it never occurred. We could have called it Tiger Bay, that would have been good.
"Elvis' karate name was Tiger. I've been known as El Tigre - that's my Spanish name - so I was known as The Tiger when I started out. So Tiger Bay would have been a good name for it.''
