Remembering the iconic Toots Hibbert (1942-2020).

Toots was treated in hospital for a cut to the head.
Toots And The Maytals were forced to cut short their set at the Dominion Riverrock outdoor music festival on Saturday (May 25, 2013) after singer Frederick Toots Hibbert, 67, was struck by a bottle thrown from the crowd. According the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Hibbert was treated for a cut to the head in hospital while a 19-year-old man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Festival organisers said the reggae veteran was in good spirits despite the incident and regretted that the band had to cut short their set. Stephen Lecky, a spokesman for festival organiser Venture Richmond, told Rolling Stone magazine: "He was lucid. He was laughing. He was tired obviously. He had had a very long day.He was one of the nicest men I ever met."
Hibbert was struck by a glass bottle thrown from the crowd on Saturday evening, as the band were entertaining a festival crowd that had watched the likes of Soulove, Lettuce and Anders Osborne perform earlier in the day.
Toots is hit in the head at around 1 minute, 30 seconds.
