The former actress and reality star has been open about her financial problems in the past.
The 42 year old actress and sometime reality TV star is said to owe a sum of $37,981.97 on her AmEx card, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ. Spelling attempted to pay some of that back on June 26th last year, but the payment bounced and now American Express is demanding full payment of, plus interest on, the remaining balance.

Is Tori Spelling's reality TV show too simplistic and stylised to be an accurate representation of the family's life?
In True Tori, Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott attempt to bring the viewer an experience unlike any other reality television show in that the glitzy embellishments of their celebrity lifestyle is cast to one side in favour of a grittier, more relatable look at one family's trials and traumas.
Having premiered in April this year, the Lifestyle docu-series began three weeks into the aftermath of McDermott's adulterous affair whilst he films the first season of cooking reality series Chopped Canada in Toronto. The show brings to light the impact of how devastating cheating can be to a marriage dynamic, as seen in Tori and Dean's many tearful or angry therapy sessions.
The Beverly Hills 90210 actress has had the attention of a camera crew throughout her whole life, so it's not surprising that she is often so calm and direct when airing her grievances with her husband. However, the 41 year-old star has been accused of making up the affair for publicity and milking it with her new show.

Apparently, there are some deep psychological issues at the bottom of this story.
Things just veered from scandalous to troubling on the second episode of True Tori. In the episode, which aired Tuesday night on Lifetime, Dea McDermott had the floor to explain why he cheated. We’ve already had glimpses of McDermott’s issues – in January, he voluntarily entered rehab to seek treatment for his alleged sex addiction, after his infidelity with Emily Goodhand came to light a month earlier. This week (or at during the taping of True Tori) anyway, he finally went into detail about the slipup and what brought him there. Here's the play-by-play.
Apparently McDermott is struggling with sex addiction and self hate.
"I haven't dealt with any of it yet," Tori confesses at the start of Tuesday's show, before she admitted, talking over the couple’s marital problems with a single-dad friend. "All my friends have an opinion ... but at the end of the day I have to do what's right for my children."
The first episode of the series went over the events of last December.
Tori Spelling’s new lifetime show debuted last night after months of promotion. For Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott that also meant months of airing unpleasant details about their marriage and personal life. It worked. True Tori opened on Lifetime to an audience of 1.2 million viewers, according to THR. The story of McDermott’s infamous infidelity picked up almost immediately in the premiere episode. Spelling recalled for the cameras how McDermott initially tried to lie about cheating on her.
The drama has only begun on True Tori.
“He told me, ‘Nothing happened.’ Then he was looking at me and I noticed that his right eyebrow was shaking up and down. I said, ‘Why is your eyebrow shaking?’ Are you lying? And he said no.”

TV might have made some great strides in recent years, but if there’s one thing that hasn’t changed, it’s this: mention the word “sex” and you have people’s attention. Case in point: the promo for Tori Spelling’s new reality show (Spelling and reality TV, it’s not really a novel concept). In the confessional-style video, which has already been branded “shocking” by a number of news outlets, Tori mentions that her husband is apparently so addicted to the Deed, that she simply cannot give him enough. Would you like to know more? If so, then you’re in luck because Tori and estranged husband Dean McDermott are by no means shy about revealing the inner workings of their relationship.
Tori Spelling has plenty of emotional moments on the upcoming show.

Sex was an escape, just like drugs or alcohol."

Just days after reports emerged that the actress was strapped for cash, it turns out she might have a sex tape to cash in on
Tori Spelling has apparently made a sex tape, and she may be considering selling it off to the highest bidder, who could spend millions in securing the possession of the x-rated tape. The actress, who has been in the news recently due to the possible deterioration of her once substantial wealth, hinted that she filmed herself having sex with her husband Dean McDermott on Valentines Day 2009 in her new book, and since then the offers have been piling up.
Spelling apparently has a video of herself doing the nasty
According to TMZ, the head of Vivid Entertainment - the same company that secured the rights to the Farrah Abrahams porno - Steve Hirsch is very keen on securing the rights to the tape and is ready to make Tori a "substantial offer," providing it does exist. Hirsch wrote a letter to Tori outlining his desire to distribute the video of her having sex to a wide audience, and may be willing to offer a huge amount, possibly in the millions, for the tape. She wrote "'Dean said, 'We should tape ourselves having sex.' He had a little portable tripod, and he set up his video camera on it. Afterward, I checked my angles and they were good, so I allowed him to keep it."

Later, a friend of McDermott's was in possession of a copy of the tape. It seems this friend copied the video file from McDermott's computer. Tori Spelling was fooling around in her new book talking about a sex tape that she and husband Dean McDermott filmed on Valentine's Day in 2009, though it seems the story has caught the attention of Vivid Entertainment President and all-round goofball Steve Hirsch, who's prepared to pay big-money for it.
In case you hadn't heard, Spelling revealed in her book that the tape had been stolen by one of Dean's "friends" who claimed to have copied the file from his computer.

Technically speaking, "Scary Movie 2" is a real mess. The editing is pathetic, mostly because the script -- if you can call it that -- is just a series of unrelated horror movie japes put in almost random order and tied together by about two minutes of plot.
Characters disappear completely from the story without explanation and blatant continuity errors abound because some gags where left on the cutting room floor while the follow-up jokes were kept. In one scene a character is lying in a pool of blood, then a second later the blood is gone. Then it's back, then it's gone again, then it's back again. No attempt whatsoever is made to cover up this sloppy, choppy, rushed-into-production total lack of cohesion.
But comedically speaking, "Scary Movie 2" is an almost constant laugh riot of extreme gross-out humor and surprisingly limber lampoonery -- and this is coming from a guy who didn't think much of the first "Scary Movie" and was pretty irritated when the Wayans brothers (director Keenen Ivory and stars Shawn and Marlon) broke their promise not to make a sequel.
