Trace Adkins' wife wants her marriage to be over.

Rhonda Adkin filed for divorce from the country music singer this past Tuesday (March 25th) in Tennessee citing "irreconcilable differences."

The terms of the papers include her asking the court for primary residential custody of their children and Adkins to pay full child support, alimony and all her legal fees, according to WSMV in Nashville.

Rhonda and Trace married on 11th May 1997 and have three children together, MacKenzie, Brianna, and Trinity. He is also the father two other daughters, Tarah and Sarah, from his first wife.

The 'Celebrity Apprentice' star has been honest about his issues with alcohol in the past and in January he checked into a rehabilitation facility in an effort to get sober.

The decision to return to rehab came after a bizarre altercation occurred aboard a cruise ship that was headed to Jamaica.

Trace, who had been sober for 12 years up to this point, was in one of the ship's bars when he got into a fight with one of his impersonator's.

The lookalike was singing on karaoke when the physical altercation occurred and this wasn't the first time the pair met, they previously ran into each other in 2007 but were much more civil on that occasion.

The first time Trace entered rehab was back in 2002, where he partook in a 28-day alcohol rehabilitation program in Nashville after getting into a serious tractor accident, ever since then the singer managed to stay sober.

The 52 year-old left the facility in February to be with his father before his subsequent death, it can only be speculation at this time that their marriage had suffered due to these circumstances.
