Justin Bieber has apparently turned to God following his recent racism blunders.
There’s no better way of proving your penitence than going all out and getting yourself baptised. That’s Justin Bieber’s latest move in the whole racism saga anyway, because what better way to show how sorry you are than to get dunked in some water.
Justin Bieber was allegedly baptised in a bathroom by one of his friends
Bieber actually took the plunge (pun intended) before the videos surfaced and he was in the midst of being extorted. Perhaps he hoped that a baptism would lead to a bit of good karma (conflicting ideologies, but you get where we’re going with this). The baptism allegedly look place in a New York bathroom. As rooms go, they are famed for their spiritual qualities.

The 35 year-old singer has publically defended Bieber over the racist comments he made in two leaked pieces of footage from several years ago.
Usher has definitely got Justin Bieber's back.
The 35 year-old singer has kept fairly quiet about the pop star's recent racism scandal, but he has finally spoke out by defending Bieber.
Usher, who signed the 20 year-old to his record label at the age of 13, took to Instagram to post a lengthy statement about the racist comment's Bieber made in two leaked clips.

Just a confused kid? Usher defends Justin Bieber against accusations of racism.
It will take more than an apology – even a really good one – to mend the gaping holes in Justin Bieber’s reputation after the video of him using racist slurs and offensive humor was leaked. But maybe Justin’s mentor – that’s Usher, if you’ve missed the last five years in pop culture – can help?
According to Usher, Bieber doesn't deserve the racism-related backlash.
The rapper/producer stepped in on Saturday to defend his protégé. He did so, fittingly, via Instagram. Posting a picture of himself with the Biebz, Usher wrote the following (excellently worded) statement: "As I have watched Justin Bieber navigate difficult waters as a young man, I can tell you that he hasn't always chosen the path of his greatest potential, but he is unequivocally not a racist."

Usher released a statement via Instagram on Saturday (7th June) in which he wrote Justin Bieber is not a racist and the recently released video footage merely showed Bieber's youthful indiscretions.
Usher, Justin Bieber's mentor and the man who discovered him, has spoken in support of his somewhat feckless protégé.
Usher has spoken out about Justin Bieber's racist videos.
Bieber has recently been caught up in a scandal after a US entertainment website obtained footage of then 14-year-old Bieber singing a racist parody of one of this songs 'One Less Lonely Girl'. Sufficient to say Bieber had replaced 'girl' with a highly offensive word beginning with the letter n. Bieber continued to joke about joining the Ku Klux Klan. In a separate video, also obtained by TMZ, Bieber makes a racist joke which was also filmed by one of his entourage.

With the final approaching, the five remaining hopefuls are pulling out all the stops.
It was The Voice semi-final last night, and you can bet contestants and judges alike pulled out all the stops. But while the contestants we’re putting on their best professional faces, the judges took the whole affair a bit less seriously. Usher, setting aside his judging duties for a moment, performed his new song, Good Kisser. The tune earned him a standing ovation from his fellow judges.
Usher used the opportunity to debut his new song.
But by far the best moment of the show came from Adam Levine. Eager to get back at Blake Shelton for tweeting out his phone number, Levine got creative. The Maroon 5 vocalist ordered two truckloads of cow dung to be unloaded in Shelton’s red pickup truck mid-show. Props to Levine – as on-air pranks go, that one should go down in the history books.

The ‘Happy’ singer will be casting a critical eye over a new generation of singing talent.
Pharrell Williams is to replace The Voice's outgoing coach, Cee Lo Green, who recently announced that he's be stepping away from NBC's talent contest to focus on his own musical career. Williams, who served as a guest mentor to Usher's team in season four, will replace the longtime judging on the singing competition's upcoming seventh season. The show's Twitter feed broke the news on Monday and quickly received an outpouring of excitement as fans spread the word.
Pharrell Williams Is To Replace Outgoing Coach Cee Lo Green On 'The Voice.'
"Okay, we can OFFICIALLY say it! WE ARE SO #HAPPY to announce PHARRELL WILLIAMS = #NewVoiceCoach for SEASON 7," the show captioned a shot of the new judge. The last year has seen the 40 year-old pop star on a high: he collaborated on last year's top two songs of the summer, 'Blurred Lines' and 'Get Lucky,' has worked on the Amazing Spider-Man 2 score alongside Hans Zimmer and received an Oscar nomination for his chart-smashing Despicable Me 2 song, 'Happy.'

Celine Dion was among many of the celebrities who had roles specifically written for her before she agreed to do the film.
Celine Dion's role in the 'Muppets Most Wanted' was scripted with her in mind.
The film which stars children's favourites Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Animal and Fozzy Bear among others, has a number of A-List cameo appearances, including Salma Hayek, Tom Hiddleston and Usher, and director James Bobin insists the roles were written specifically for these celebrities, before they officially agreed to appear in the film.
He said: ''Largely we write those roles in the script. Often we even write the name of the particular person. What we find, is that because there's a great love for the Muppets the people we ask tend to say yes. Which is really rare.

The rivalry is fierce as 'The Voice' battles begin.
Hard-headed tactics, nail-biting decisions and some truly A-grade talent; so began The Voice season six battle rounds where audience favourites were sent home, judges fought over the best candidates and the remaining contestants sang their hearts out for a chance to progress to the next stage.
The Judges Had Some Tough Decisions To Make This Week.
The last two night's episodes (17th and 18th March) were particularly cutthroat: the battle round sees two contestants from the same team pitted against each other with the coach choosing only one. It's not the end of the road for the singer who doesn't get picked though as the rejected can be stolen by other coaches. The coaches can retain only six contestants from their original team and two more can be added from the steal.

The rapper made a clarification after worries about his lyrics.
Rick Ross has felt compelled to clarify a line from one of his songs that addresses the fatal shooting of black teenager Trayvon Martin that occurred last year. On the 11th track of his latest album Mastermind, 'Black & White,' Ross raps, "Trayvon Martin, I'm never missing my target," which some have perceived to mean that he is comparing his success to George Zimmerman gunning down the Floridian teen.
Rick Ross Has Clarified Lyrics Concerning Trayvon Martin, Who Was Shot Dead Last Year.
After the lyrics sparked controversy, Ross, 38, issued a statement to Vibe. "It's so important that today, on the two-year anniversary of the death of Trayvon Martin, we never forget that tragedy," he said. "I'm never going to let the world forget that name. In my song Black and White off Mastermind I say, 'Trayvon Martin, I'm never missing my target.' There I'm reminding people that if you're a black person or a person of any colour for that matter in this country, you have to be accurate, whatever moves you make, stay accurate. Even when you're walking down the street, playing music from your car, you have to stay on point.

What do you do when you get busted for drag racing? Jet off to Panama, of course.
Over the past week, Justin Bieber has quickly turned into the most hated teenager in America – at least that’s the impression one could get from a simple Twitter search. So naturally, during the PR crisis following his arrest, Justin did what most rich, famous celebrities in his situation would do – he went on holiday. After being released on a bail of $2,500: $1,000 for DUI, $1,000 for resisting arrest and $500 for an expired license, following his Thursday arrest, the Boyfriend singer quickly jetted off to Panama to drown his sorrows in some beach time.
Apparently, Bieber needed a break from the busy LA life.
Bieber’s ever supportive mentor, Usher, was photographed beside the teenage singer, as was Justin’s maybe-girlfriend, Chantel Jeffries, Us Weekly reports. Jeffries was also with Justin in the car at the time of his arrest.

The custody battle was resolved quickly, with Tameka's emergency custody request being denied.
The custody battle between Usher and ex-wife Tameka Foster had a lengthy and intense court encounter this Friday, centered around the issue of custody rights over the former couple’s two sons, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond. The emergency hearing was called after a recent pool incident, during which Usher Raymond (5) reportedly almost drowned, while in his father’s care.
Usher has primary custody over his two sons.
According to TMZ, Usher has primary custody rights over the children. However, during the hearing, Tameka used the pool accident as an example of Usher being an inattentive father and leaving the children in the hands of unreliable caretakers (during the incident, the children were left in the care of the singer’s aunt Rena.)

No one in the Stone's camp knows anything about it.
The list of artists supposedly boycotting Florida because of the controversial Stand Your Ground law reads like a who’s who of modern music. Usher, Rod Stewart, Madonna, Kanye West, Rihanna, R. Kelly, Wale, Jay Z, and the Rolling Stones are all on it, but are the latter really in the boycott club?

A spokeswoman for the Rolling Stones, she said she was "not aware of this," according to Mother Jones, who contacted her, and actually broke the news to her. Representatives for the band in the UK added: "nobody's heard anything about this,” which suggests the band really aren’t involved in Stevie Wonder’s campaign against the Stand Your Ground Law, which is thought to have been a key factor in George Zimmerman’s acquittal in the Trayvon Martin case.

Jennifer Lopez has apologised for performing at the birthday celebrations of Turkmenistan's President, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov. The country has an appalling Human Rights record, a fact the singer and her entourage appeared completely unaware of.
Jennifer Lopez appeared on Saturday (29th June 2013) at the birthday celebrations of Turkmenistan's president, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov. The nation has a history of abysmal Human Rights, according to Human Rights Watch. Lopez has been criticised for performing, however the situation has drawn attention to the country and its leaders.

Benefits like these can lead to rushed spending, say experts
Blake Shelton was quick to organise a benefit concert after the Oklahoma hurricane left many homeless and missing loved ones. And people were quick to buy tickets; the concert sold out in 5 minutes, but is the money going to the right place?
No one’s suggesting for a minute that there’s any untoward activity going on, but it has been suggested that kneejerk donations can often be channelled in the wrong direction “There’s an awful lot of emotional giving that happens after a disaster. Sometimes that can be a recipe for wasteful spending,” explained Heather Joslyn, an editor at the Chronicle of Philanthropy. “There is a multiplier effect,” she adds. “A celebrity can write a check for $1 million, but if they give a televised concert, it will definitely bring in more money.” Blake’s, Reba McEntire, Usher and Vince Gill all stepped in to help out, as well as his wife, Miranda Lambert.
Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Eric Clapton all helped raised $50 million for Hurricane Sandy victims last year, and David Saltzman, the executive director of the Robin Hood Foundation, says he still finds it heart-warming when a celeb announces a benefit like this. “In my mind, it’s a way of building a sense of community,” he said. “Think of these as incredibly big, incredibly effective bake sales for a neighbor in need."

Adam Levine was heard to say "I hate this country," in the closing moments of The Voice on Tuesday.
Adam Levine's "I hate this country" remark on The Voice last night has elicited a whole wave of responses on Twitter. The Maroon 5 man was stunned that two of his three remaining singers - Judith Hill and Sarah Simmons - were voted off the show despite being considered frontrunners. This was a terrible decision, and Levine knew it.
A close-by microphone caught Levine muttering his hatred for the American public, which some fans of the show claim will decrease his chances of winning with his one remaining act. Ryan Cooney wrote on Twitter, "Adam Levine just said "I hate this country" on TV... Not a smart move dude, not smart at all. #america."
It's hardly surprising that Levine had a dig at the American public - Judith Hill was easily the most talented singer in the final 8 - though the singer will struggle to salvage his reputation on the show with touchy television viewers. Writing in the Los Angeles Times, Amy Reiter offered a potential explanation for Judith's elimination, "...it could also have been that Hill was almost too polished, too much of a pro. She'd sung a duet with Michael Jackson. Her parents were well-connected musicians. She already had the bearing of a superstar - seemed already to have arrived. What did she need us for?"

The Voice is really hotting up in the latter stages.
The top eight singers on The Voice took their performances to another level on Monday evening (May 27, 2013), with fire, feather and cowboy boots playing prominent roles in a number of blinged up turns. Blake Shelton had kicked off the show with a rendition of his latest hit 'Round Here,' though things soon got serious, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
On Team Adam Levine, it was Judith Hill who seriously impressed with a reinterpreated rendition of Will.i.am and Justin Bieber's #ThatPower. "That hair is badass - I guarantee you, Adam has been on the phone with Cee Lo [Green] this week!" said Shelton of Judith's huge mohawk. Sarah Simmons struggled a little with Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used To Know' while Amber Carrington didn't quite manage to convey the majesty of Adele's Oscar winning track 'Skyfall.'
On Team Blake, Holly Tucker chose to perform 'Done' by the Band Perry and ultimately succeeded. "There were big notes in this song, and you hit them and took them up to another level," said Usher. Over on Team Shakira, Sasha Allen was assigned 'Without You' by David Guetta and Usher, "I started comparing myself to Sasha as a singer, and that's not good [for me]," said Shelton. "I think you bought Shakira another week, for sure."
