The first bunch of acts for Virgin V Festival 2017 have finally been announced, with Jay-Z and Pink named as headliners for the 22nd edition of the British music event. It marks ten years since Pink first appeared at the festival, way back in 2007, and it's Jay-Z's first ever V appearance.

V Festival comes to Hylands Park, Chelmsford on August 19th and and Weston Park, Staffordshire on August 20th, with the first line-up announcement having been made on Capital and Capital XTRA today (February 27th 2017). Many more acts are yet to be announced in the coming weeks including for the BBC Radio 1 stage.

Joining Jay Z and Pink on the main stage are Ellie Goulding for the fifth year, Rudimental with some as yet unknown special guests, Ibiza DJ Pete Tong, Craig David with songs from his second number album since his debut 'Following My Intuition', Grammy Award winner Jess Glynne, and the Brit Award nominated Stormzy who's embarking on his sold-out first headline tour this Spring.

Madness returns to the festival for the third time in their long career, while Busted will make a stop there for the first time as part of their 'Night Driver Tour'. Having recently unveiled his first single of the year - 'Swalla' featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign - Jason Derulo will join the roster alongside Sean Paul, Clean Bandit and Dizzee Rascal.

Completing the list so far are Gorgon City, George Ezra, James Arthur, Anne-Marie, Jonas Blue, Sigma Live, The Vamps, The Wombats, Calum Scott, JP Cooper, Jack Savoretti, Scouting For Girls, Krept & Konan, Hannah Wants and Raye. The BBC Radio 1 stage will always be returning to Chelmsford this year, with the line-up for that to be announced on March 24th.

Tickets for Virgin V Festival go on general sale from March 3rd 2017.
