Retired Italian fashion designer VALENTINO Garavani is honoured with a 2011 Couture Council Award for Artistry of Fashion at the David H. Kock Theater at the Lincoln Center in New York. A smiling Valentino waves at the photographers and doesn't seem to be in any hurry to enter the building. He is soon joined by basketball star Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa.Also present at the awards ceremony were designer Diane von Furstenberg and an unusually emotional Vogue editor Anna Wintour
