Vanessa Paradis has become the new face of H&M.

The French beauty has teamed up with the Swedish high street chain to front its Conscious campaign, which promotes their environmentally-aware line of clothing.

Using materials such as organic cotton, recycled polyester, and Tencel, the Conscious collection aims to ensure style as well as sustainability.

Vanessa - who has two children, Lily-Rose, 13, and 10-year-old Jack, with ex-partner Johnny Depp - told WWD: ''I like being part of something like the Conscious collection at H&M. I try my best to shop consciously, and vintage is very much part of my wardrobe. I love the style and it works in an eco-friendly way because I like to use and reuse old clothes.''

To coincide with the spring/summer 2013 campaign, H&M are also set to launch an in-store garment collecting service.

Customers will receive an H&M voucher for every bag of unwanted clothing they take into selected H&M stores. The initiative aims to prevent clothing from going into landfill sites. Clothing can be from any label, but customers are limited to handing in two bags per day.

The Conscious Collection will be available at H&M stores worldwide and online from March.
