Vicky Pattison has been temporarily forced into using a wheelchair after her feet were left numb and bleeding following an intensive trek in Iceland for charity.

28 year old Pattison, the winner of last year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ and former ‘Geordie Shore’ star, teamed up with Chloe Madeley for a lengthy hike across the Icelandic wilderness for breast cancer charity CoppaFeel.

When she finished, Pattison went to the doctor because she had lost all feeling in her feet, and she was confined to a wheelchair while they recovered. On Thursday morning (August 11th) she posted a picture on Instagram of herself putting a brave face on proceedings as she made her way home through the airport terminal.

“Smiling through the pain… My feet officially gave up and without alcohol to numb anything I can't even walk anymore… Iceland 1, Vicky 0. But it is all for an incredible cause… And if you haven't already, please donate to @coppafeelpeople at https://icelandcoppafeel.everydayhero.com/uk/vicky.”

She and Madeley, both fitness fanatics and entrepreneurs, sent a series of snaps and make-up-free selfies during their five-day, 58km expedition in which they explored the challenging Landmannalaugar trail.

When she returned she posted a rather sore-looking photo of her feet covered in plasters. “This is what my feet look like after 60km trekking. They are broken, swollen, fat, painful & all together DESTROYED.”

Before they set off a week ago, there was healthy competition and sparring between Pattison and 29 year old Madeley, the daughter of TV presenting legends Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan.

“It won't be easy,” Vicky wrote on her charity page, “spending all day hiking - then having to set up camp in the evening.”

The two have only raised £244.10 out of her £2,595 – surely their suffering won’t have been for nothing?
