Victoria Beckham has insisted she doesn't use fake tan and says her skin is naturally a ''dodgy orange'' colour.
Victoria Beckham says her natural skin tone is a ''dodgy orange'' colour.
The 41-year-old fashion designer wants to set the record straight for people who believe she lathers her skin in bad bronzers and insists she can't help it if she looks as if she is wearing fake tan as that's simply her ''natural colour''.
The brunette beauty said: ''I'd like it on record that all the times I've been criticised for wearing dodgy orange fake tans, that's my natural colour. I go brown very quickly, so I tend to whip my legs out at the first sign of sun. I'm not big on fake bronzers.''
Though the mother of four - who has Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 12, Cruz, 10 and three-year-old Harper with her husband David Beckham - admits she would be open to trying out new tanning products if she could be sure they wouldn't result in an unsightly ''streaky'' effect.
She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: ''I'm curious to know whether Saint Tropez's new in-shower daily bronzer works. I don't see how it doesn't go streaky, but I'm open to persuasion.''
The former Spice Girl - who has just launched her pre-spring 2016 Victoria Beckham collection - added that mid-length skirts are her go-to summer wardrobe piece because they look great with any skin tone.
She said: ''A midi-skirt is my favourite summer piece, whether you're at a semi-casual event or work. It doesn't matter if your legs are tanned or pale, it still works - with flats or a block heel.''
