Iconic Australian rock band AC/DC finally return after six years with a new single entitled 'Shot in the Dark', taken from their forthcoming new album 'Power Up' which is set to drop this Autumn via Columbia Records.
We're glad to see Brian Johnson, Phil Rudd and Cliff Williams returning after their hiatus from the band. Plus, they have re-teamed with producer Brendan O'Brien for the new album, who has been with them since their seminal 2008 record 'Black Ice', which debuted at number one in a record-breaking 29 countries (which is the most ever for a Columbia Records album).
That was followed by 2014's equally insane 'Rock or Bust', but now their seventeenth and latest release 'Power Up' will be the first without founding member Malcolm Young, who passed away from dementia in 2017.
Malcolm is credited as a songwriter alongside brother Angus, however, as the album is made up of previously unreleased tracks from the AC/DC vault. Angus calls it a tribute to his late brother, much like 1980 classic 'Back in Black' was a tribute to former lead singer Bon Scott.
'Power Up' will be released on November 13th 2020 and is now available to pre-order.
