In case you needed a light and cheery song to brighten up a dreary afternoon, up-and-coming Norwegian singer-songwriter Astrid S has dropped the video for a beautiful new single entitled 'It's OK If You Forget Me', ahead of the release of her debut album.
The almost-24-year-old takes an unusually positive view of a break-up in her newest song, the video for which sees her surrounded by memories of a lost love; a lost love for whom she has no bitter feelings, nor indeed any remotely painful feelings at all. And yet, the song shows how even the most painless of break-ups can be painful in some way, when you release how little they must have meant to you.
Astrid S is set to drop her debut studio album 'Leave It Beautiful' on October 16th through Universal, following 2019 EPs 'Trust Issues' and 'Down Low'. As well as 'It's OK If You Forget Me', her previous single releases have been Norwegian top 10s 'Dance Dance Dance' and 'Marilyn Monroe'.
While she's still pre- first album, Astrid has actually been on our radar since 2016, when she embarked on her sold out Party's Over World Tour. She went on to feature on Katy Perry's album 'Witness', and has also supported the likes of Troye Sivan, Years & Years and Zara Larsson on tour.
