Bree Runway and her crew set up shop at the local car wash as they get everyone in a lather with some well choreographed dance routines set to her latest single, 'HOT HOT'. The 'All Night' and 'ATM' singer, who released her debut album '2000AND4EVA' towards the back end of last year, has chosen not to lift any more material from her nine track album but rather start a fresh.
'HOT HOT' is Bree's first new release of 2021 and draws more on her Hip-Hop influences than on some of her R&B flavoured tracks of the past. The Hackney based singer-songwriter and rapper (real name Brenda Wireko Mensah) is in a playful mood on her latest track, even injecting a wry sense of humour into the mix as she sings, "Hotter than the summer in a drop top, Sweet little honey like I am a bon bon sweet little honey do you want some, Chewing on my cookie till you get a lockjaw roley on my wrist that’s a watch watch, Blue light shining like I’m in a cop car ask me how I do it and they wonder, You can never ever do it like a Brenda."
As well as featuring the trio of scantily clad soap-sud stars the video also has a starring role for a 1996 metallic lime-green 3Series BMW, a shell suited jack-the-lad driver with a lewd two seater t-shirt on and a super-slick Yamaha racing bike. The dancing is as the song, hot-hot, with Bree giving the master class of moves as she sings out her infectious song.
The new Runway track samples Busta Rhymes’ 2005 single 'Touch It' and is as summer scented as anything we've heard so far this year. Bree said, "I feel like this is the song everyone needs to hear as it gets hotter and the world eases up. This pandemic hasn’t been easy on the brain, and with being indoors wearing joggers 24/7, it's been hard to feel like a hottie, so I'm hoping this track will help!" It certainly has Bree, we're all summer ready here.
