With the release of their hotly anticipated second album less than a month away Brisbane's Confidence Man have shared it's third single - 'Woman'. The new track dropped on March 3rd and has subsequently been followed up by this accompanying video that premiered, rather aptly...or with expert timing (take your pick), on International Women's day 2022 - March 8th.
'Woman' is Confidence Man's second single release of 2022 and follows on from 'Feels Like A Different Thing' which was released at the end of January this year and the lead single - 'Holiday' which first appeared in November last year. All three tracks are lifted from the forthcoming Confidence Man album - 'Tilt'.
'Tilt', the band's sophomore album is their first full-length follow up to the very well received debut album of 2018 - 'Confident Music for Confident People'. The new 12 track album will be released via Heavenly Recordings on April 1st.
The video for 'Woman', directed by The Creases lead singer Joe Agius, sees Confidence Man lead singer Janet Planet guide us through a house party made up entirely of woman. As JP glides her way through the doors, hall ways and staircases of the house she stops and turns to camera to sing - "I’m a woman of many words, but words do not define me. This is my house, the house that I built with my own two hands. And if I so desire I will burn it down...don't call me the spark, I'm the fire and the flame".
After the introductory monologue from Janet the beat drops and another sure fire floor filler from Queensland's finest proponents of infectious dance music kicks in. Another banger from Brisbane!.
Confidence Man have also, just last week, been confirmed as performers at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
