Doja Cat breaks new ground with her latest pioneering video for 'Woman' as she invites her fans to manipulate the original by altering the code to customise the footage. Doja Cat has joined forces with non-profit organisation Girls Who Code to provide a platform for interactive coding via Dojacode.com.
Tarika Barrett, CEO of Girls Who Code, says that "We know firsthand that girls and young women are some of today’s most powerful creators and change-makers. However, too few know that they can have a career in computer science and that it can open up an entire future of possibility to nurturing their passions. Learning to code enables you to change the world around you".
Once you've experimented with the visuals and adapted them to your tastes you can either download the video for your own pleasure or share it on your social media streams. @GirlsWhoCode took to Twitter to share the exciting news tweeting - "HUGE NEWS: We just made the first ever codable music video with @dojacat You can control the story using code. Go try it now at http://dojacode.com!" The inspirational idea arose in part says Barrett because - "Most girls haven’t heard of coding, but they are passionate about activism or dance or music. Our job is to show them the connection between learning to code and pursuing those interests".
Girls Who Code couldn't have landed a bigger project to kick start a recruitment drive. Doja Cat has had a phenomenal year by anyone's standards either accepting awards or hosting awards ceremonies. Her album 'Planet Her' reached number two on the Billboard 200 and number three on the UK album charts and has thus far generated four very successful singles, including her latest, 'Woman'.
